She said it hits her hard when she was watching the movie, and thereafter, it left her with a memorable feeling of comfort.

She is touched by the emotional scene when this song came up perfectly on time. And the reason why my mother loves this song is that it gives her warmth every time she listens to it. It starred Michelle Pfeiffer and the big-time actor, George Clooney. The song was from this rom-com movie- One Fine Day.
Have i told you lately that i love you movie#
“She was having a perfectly bad day… Then he came along and spoiled it.” - the tagline of the movie “One Fine Day”. It is a song that would make you want to keep going back to it, and every time, it gives one a false impression that it was their first time listening to it. It was probably one of the smoothest songs I have ever heard, just because of how fast it put me in a better mood. Surely, I was not disappointed when the vintage guitar sound harmonized with Rod’s husky voice. Not only is the song 10 years ago from now, but I also remembered my father told me to pay attention to Rod Stewart’s unique voice. I already had a great feeling the second I play the song. I guessed it is a long-married couples thing because my father started singing the lyrics “have I told you lately…” to mess around my mother, and unexpectedly, she exclaimed out loud and told me what he was singing that exact one song she was thinking about. “Oh! Okay, fine, that one song with a very long title!” On the other side of the phone, my mother hurried my father to put a name to the song that just came to her mind. Not even those songs that were disturbingly overplayed on the radio during each car ride in 2018 (TMI it was so traumatizing to the point that my brother and I would unconsciously hum those melodies and hate ourselves once we realized what we have done). It has been the longest time since my mother had the intention of playing any kind of music on her own (unlike her older sister, who is close to her, loves playing classical music on the basis), and on top of that, I have rarely heard her sing or even hum to any melody. Coming to think of it, she is most definitely not a person that I would ever associate with music. But, that was not the case, in fact, she even asked my father for help to think of a song. And as someone that has always been very assertive with her opinions, I thought she was going to tell me her “ favorite” song in less than a second.
